We went there on Thursday night and there was live English music. We wanted to sit outdoor but everyone was inside enjoying the live music so we sat inside instead as no service outside. basic drinks are good. Cocktails not that well prepared. We ordered Margarita and it didn't taste like proper one. Staff are attentive and friendly.

(Original) Lovely old bar a couple of minutes walk from the beach. Really friendly owners (Ali & Mark) made us feel very welcome. The live music from Mark was great and included everyone in the bar, we also went to the afternoon live music in the beer garden which was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. The bar is very clean and has a mezzanine floor upstairs which was great as you can still watch the live music from upstairs too. Can’t wait to go back.

(Original) Best bar in Carvoeiro, spent most nights in the Jailhouse during our time in Carvoeiro . New owners Mark and Ali have given the place a makeover and have made it a really friendly fun bar. Mark is a musician and really good entertainer and Ali runs the bar. Also has live music in the beer garden every Saturday afternoon. Can’t wait to go back, really made our holiday.
