Passamos uma semana bastante sombria em uma villa um tanto úmida em Albuferia, com uma empresa de administração desinteressada e inútil. Planejamos estas férias porque meu parceiro está muito doente e um dos nossos familiares mora em Portugal, então dissemos que iríamos nos juntar a ele como uma família para um momento especial. Não esperávamos sol, mas a umidade bolorenta era uma preocupação, além de um desconforto. (Original) Gareth showed pure professionalism and patience both in scheduling our photo shoot and carrying it out. We spent a pretty grim week in a rather damp villa in Albuferia with a disinterested unhelpful management company. We planned this holiday as my partner is very unwell and one of our family lives in Portugal so we said we'd join him as a family for a special time. We were not expecting sunshine but musty dampness was a worry as well as discomfort. As a result of which most of us were unwell so not a one of us felt like photographs that morning and even discussed cancelling and leaving the area but with my partner so unwell ots not that easy to pick up sticks and move. So, given our reality we thought we'd go ahead. I give you the background simply to help convey what a tense and difficult space Gareth entered and brought joy to. When Gareth arrived his capacity to read the mood not just place people was amazing. He captured the love we have for each other, our togetherness in the face of a critical family adversity and great sadness at times ( not related to though exacerbated by the villa) and the time he spent with us was wonder filled. His photos are beautiful and natural. He has a magic touch getting kids to take part. Well young kids. Adult kids can prove more challenging but Gareth just did great. His fee is fair (If not too fair but within our budget) For me, Gareth's photographs are the only saving grace of our time in Albuferia. He is kind, professional, a great photographer, gentle in asking people to move in a way they may not want and captures the candid like no other. His photographs reflect what's in the heart not just the face. I cannot recommend or thank him enough. Do not look further than Gareth for your photographic needs. Thanks so much Gareth. You know how much this Christmas/ New Years and photos mean to us and you went the extra mile to get the job so beautifully done. Od like to have shared the many better photographs but have not permission. So sorry for that Gareth your best remains 7nseen as of yer. You saved Christmas!

(Translated) Quando eu planejei nossas férias em Portugal, nossas primeiras férias para toda a minha família no exterior, eu sonhava em ter uma boa foto de família natural da praia. Por isso comecei a procurar um fotógrafo profissional no Algarve que tornasse o meu pequeno sonho realidade. Eu encontrei o site da Garrett e olhei para o seu trabalho. Eu pensei que ele poderia ser o único. Nós montamos a data muito rapidamente. A comunicação foi ótima. (Original) When I planned our holiday in Portugal, our first holiday for my whole family overseas, I dreamt about having a nice natural family photo from the beach. Therefore I started looking for a professional photographer in Algarve who will make my little dream come true. I found the website of Garrett and looked at his work. I thought he could be the one. We set up the date very quickly. The communication was great. To be honest, I did not expect much, with 2 kids, one of them very very sleepy at the time of photo-shooting. The result was fantastic. (Original) We recently had Garrett round to our villa to take pictures before placing it on the market & what can I say, absolutely fantastic from start to finish! Liaised with us on the best time to come in relation to optimum daylight/cloud cover. Had his own props to make the place look it's best, offered us a drone video service, which really highlighted the grounds & the gorgeous countryside where the plot sits. Really took his time & didn't feel he was rushing. We had some fantastic pictures & videos quickly sent to us via email so we can get it marketed ASAP. (Original) We just came back from our first family trip to Portugal and the pictures that Garrett took are my absolutely favorite things we brought back! There are a lot of photographers available in the area when I did my search but Garrett's work really caught my eye because he uses the landscape and light to create such stunning and captivating compositions with the images he takes. He was so friendly and responsive to all types of communications leading up to our trip and very flexible with the timing. We have a 10 month old baby who was adjusting to the time difference so having the flexibility he provided really enabled us to meet at a time where she was rested and happy, which provided the most wonderful photos! He really just made the whole day fun for us! He was energetic, running around to get the right angles and provided guidance on how to pose so we got a variety of different photos. Otherwise, we would have been doing the same old thing for most of the photoshoot. Being a local, he really knew which areas would be best to have the photoshoot and he showed us some really nice areas while we were there, and provided great lunch tips :) I cannot say enough positive things about Garrett! Thank you for the memories and we hope to be able to work with you again!
