Sentimos que a escola de surf não existe apenas por ganhar dinheiro, mas também quer dar aulas de surf de alta qualidade. Os tempos de surf e picos mudavam todos os dias porque a Tânia avistou as melhores ondas antes. Se as condições estivessem muito ruins a Tânia nos disse antes para que pudéssemos usar esses dias para outras coisas e não ter dias ruins na água. Os preços são muito bons e mesmo assim (ao contrário de muitas outras escolas de surf) os grupos são muito pequenos e os treinadores de surf são incrivelmente empenhados. A nossa treinadora de surf Angela sempre ia à água connosco para poder reagir diretamente às condições e ajudar-nos a apanhar as melhores ondas nos melhores lugares da água. O inglês deles era muito claro e bom de entender, então também estrangeiros cujo inglês não é o melhor (como o meu) têm a chance de entender e obter aulas de surf de alta qualidade. Eles não gastam tanta energia em coisas de marketing, então outras escolas de surf e acampamentos podem ser mais fáceis, mas eles gastam muita energia em aulas fantásticas de surf e dando às pessoas um bom tempo. Foi possível escrever uma mensagem no WhatsApp por exemplo e obtivemos uma resposta em poucos minutos. Dentro da água percebemos diretamente que escolhemos o endereço certo para surfar nos Açores. Nós nos divertimos muito nos Açores e definitivamente entraríamos em contato com Tânia (e Angela) se algum dia voltarmos a São Miguel. Muito obrigado! (Original) We had 5 days of surfing. Tânia and her surf coaches are very friendly and competently. We felt that the surf school isn't Just existing because of earning money, but they also want to give high quality surf lessons. Times of surfing and spots changed everyday because Tânia spotted the best waves before. If the conditions have been to bad Tânia told us before so we could use these days for other things and didn't have bad days in the water. The prices are very good and nevertheless (in contrast to many other surfschools) the groups are very small and the surf coaches are incredibly committed. Our surf coach Angela always went to the water with us so she could directly react to the conditions and helped us to catch the best waves at the best places in the water. Their english was very clear and good to understand so also foreigner whose english isn't the best (Like mine) have the chance to understand and get high quality surf lessons. They don't spend as much energy on marketing stuff, so other surf schools and camps could be find easier, but they spend lots of energy on fantastic surf lessons and giving people a good time. It was possible to write a message on WhatsApp for example and we got an answer within minutes. Inside the water we directly realized that we chose the right adress to go surfing on the azores. We had a very good time on the azores and would definitive contact Tânia (and Angela) if we will ever be again in Sao Miguel. Thank you very much!

Everything started up with my 3 kids asking constantly for surf classes...just the thought to go to the beach, and be in the water with them make thing nicely NO THANK YOU. Until we meet Tania. At her school, if you are a dad, you can chill out in the beach, a distance good enough to see the kids and sip my beer and turning my kindle nicely They were having the time of their life, and the intense activity in the water carry out by the teachers and the kids is a form of guarantee that after that, the kids will just stop to being kids! And it worked! Peace for the parents, fun for the kids, superb instruction and great English spoken by Tania was the formula of success. The timings were great, fees totally normal, and the most important, security protocols in place for the kids and the school in general. (Original) We had a private class (for two people) with Ride with the Wave in August 2020, and it couldn't have gone better! We had tried surfing before, but this experience was really amazing. For the first time I managed to catch not just one wave, but couple of them! The instructors were really friendly and definitely know their way around not just about surfing, but everything about the beach and rip currents, so we felt safe. And after the lesson we also got some nice recommendations about where to go and fill our hungry bellies after a good workout in the ocean.
